| PowerQuick Ascender Debuts at Historic Proctor Theater The challenge: How to perform ceiling repairs on a 60-ft high domed ceiling in the historic Proctor's Theater in Schenectady NY without removing seats, installing scaffolding and shutting down the theater during the repairs. Built in 1925 by Frederick Francis Proctor, the 2,700 seat theater is undergoing total restoration. The solution: The PowerQuick Powered Ascender. Prize Construction of Scotia, N.Y. proposed PowerQuick as a cost-effective method to perform repairs quickly and safely. "We received the PowerQuick in the morning, conducted training, and by the end of the day completed our first task," said Prize President Ed Zemeck. Matia Restoration & Design, Artur Matia, conducted the plaster restoration. Production Resource Group (PRG), the PowerQuick Distributor for the entertainment industry, is also providing lighting support for the renovation.
